Know Your Mentor
Dhruv Mookerji has more than 20 years of experience as a QM, with over 250 quizzes under his belt. He has worked as a content coordinator on Kaun Banega Crorepati in the past.
He is a regular fixture as a QM at the prestigious Kolkata International Quizzing Festival. He has conducted several other open quizzes, quizzes for schools, colleges, clubs and other institutions.
He is a setter for multiple international online quiz platforms, and has created several popular new quiz formats.

Week 1
Icebreaker Session: Once around the table to know what makes everyone tick
Quizzing 101: Quizzing landscape, scope, opportunities. How to get started
Intro Quiz Session: Light, simple stuff to get people to enjoy the activity right away.

Into the Shallow End: Run a few questions of your own and play others’ sets
Debrief and Discussion: Thoughts, learnings and future plans
​Week 2
Developing Skills: Balance work/academia while developing as a quizzer. Polish strengths, fix weaknesses.
Different Formats: The world of new quiz formats. Try them all and see how wide the activity is.
Week 3
The Art of Setting: How to identify content, frame questions, and adapt for groups and platforms
Analysis of Sets: Attempting, analysing, and comparing sample questions from real quizzes from around the world
Quiz Session: Working in teams, discussing aloud, and sharpening approaches to questions
The Process

Platform: The workshop will be conducted on Zoom. You will have to keep your cameras on.

Experience Required: No experience required. As long as you’re interested in quizzing, you may apply.

Schedule: The workshop day and time will be fixed according to the majority vote by our final candidates. The course schedule is once a week, for 90 minutes, for the duration of four weeks. We will have a waitlist of candidates in case the first group of finalists have to drop out for any reason. If you miss a session, the basic highlights will be emailed to you.

Payment: Once you have been accepted into the course, you will be sent the payment details well before the workshop begins. Finalists will have to make the payment before the course begins. The course fee is non-refundable unless we happen to cancel.
